Rosmini performs at The Big Sing 2025
On Thursday 12 June Rosmini Chamber Choir and Carmini Choir performed at the Auckland regional of The Big Sing Competition. It was fantastic day celebrating the wonderful talent we have across Auckland and both the Chamber Choir and Carmini performed extremely well.
As part of Chamber Choir’s repertoire, they performed What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish, which is a song from the Barbie movie. This slow reflective song, along with the choir’s subtle choreography caught the attention of the adjudicator and the choir were awarded an Adjudicator Award at the evening Gala Concert. With limited awards given out, this is a huge honour and the choir should be very proud of how they performed.
This past Monday, the list of choirs going to the National Finale and second-tier finale, Cadenza were released and Rosmini Chamber Choir were named as a reserve choir for the Upper North Island Cadenza Finale. This is a huge achievement for this choir and it puts them in the top 30% of choirs in Auckland - quite an effort due to the high calibre of choirs in the Auckland region!
