Leavers Day 2026

The Rosmini College Class of 2026 officially brought their high school chapter to a close with an unforgettable Leavers’ Day on Thursday 5 November

Celebrating the culmination of a seven-year journey, the day honoured a tight-knit brotherhood forged through hard work, learning, and overcoming every challenge faced along the way.

The day kicked off with the Leavers’ Breakfast, featuring Old Boy and former Olympian Adrian Blincoe as guest speaker. The cohort then gathered for their final College Mass, where Father Glen blessed their handmade wooden crosses, with the boys standing arm-in-arm for a powerful final sing-along of the Rosmini anthem.

Tradition and excitement filled the afternoon as the 2027 prefects were announced, t-shirts were signed, and the highly anticipated Leavers’ video was screened. The most powerful moment was the farewell Haka. Opening with a Mau rākau demonstration by the Rosmini Kapa Haka group — led by new Māori leader Tray — the performance set a tone of deep respect to usher the Year 13s into their next chapter. The entire graduating class then joined the rest of the school for a school Haka, followed by heartfelt  tributes to departing teachers Mr Torres, Ms Sweeting, and Mrs Peak.

In a final moment of unity, the seniors made their customary final walk down the drive flanked by their families, stepping forward into the future as brothers for life.

Best of luck to the remarkable Class of 2026 — your legacy remains!
